So I'm back from my Army weekend and took my Wife to lunch

We went to Micks Chilie Fix on Candelaria and Girard...

a nice little joint

The food is pretty good and the staff is nice and friendly. The menu is is kinda standard and yet unique here in the DukeCity. You can get burgers or enchiladas with red or green.

Thanks for the tip . . . I used to work nearby and became a lunchtime regular at Milly's down the street (love their breakfast burritos, reubens, gyros, and baklava), but I've seen Mick's and wondered about it. Now I know!

Here's a link to their website:

You can order their chile sauce online and the menu is online too.

I dunno Sarah. I'll have to try Hurricane's and see. There's one down on Lomas near where I live and I have to see my doc tomorrow, I'll check it out.

Sarah Anonymous: I use to work over by Mick's I would have to say they are a little bit more flavorful, than Hurricane's/Twister...

Mick's is also a little more traditional NM in its presentation and garnishing with rice/beans.

We finally got over to Mick's today for lunch. I had the carne adovada omelet with red chile and my husband ordered the taco plate. It was fantastic!

I told our server Dave that we found out about the place through DCF. Thanks again for turning us on Mick’s. Now that we tasted his food, we’ll be back for more.
