Well, sort of. They are still holding classes for those who either failed classes this last semester and need to bring up our grade point average in order to maintain scholarships or college requirements OR also for those of us who would like to get ahead. As for me, I'm taking a little time to myself to do what I want to do the way I want to do it. I was going to take classes and then I asked myself, "Why would I pay nearly a grand for two classes when I could pay a grand next semester for five classes including books?" Basic economics of your standard broke college student, you could say.
So, instead I have forged a summer plan unlike any other thing I have ever undertaken. In the past, I have succombed to the idea of a very external locus of control. That is, I believed that the forces of the world were acting upon me and that my luck was to blame for my success or failures. However that makes my life seem pretty boring because I'm certainly doing a great deal of things for someone else to get some credit. Faith aside, I'm in control of this life! So I have adopted an internal locus of control at least for the summer. I'm putting shyness aside, I'm reaching out and I'm going to be an extravert. I'm not going to wait for volunteer opportunities to find me through my parents or friends and I'm not going to wait for something productive to do to happen by. No, not this summer!
The only thing I am studying this summer is my delicious sense of adventure. I have a list of things to do because, well, I am still that neurotic and anal-retentive that a list just makes me feel better. Plus, I just won't stay on task without one. I'm going to house sit but I also have a couple of interviews to start volunteer work. I may also be working for Tom Udall's campaign if they're willing to pony up some cash for books. And I'm just crazy enough that I might spend this summer knocking on doors again. It'll be a serious blow to my waistline but I'll be out and about anyway collecting pledges for my super-awesome cancer walk team. Hellz yeah!
So, here's a general outline of my plans. And if anyone out there feels they have something they could use me for, I might just be brave enough to go do it (provided that it's in a public place or you have corroboration since this is still the internet).

19) Go back to school
Well, that's all I can think of for now. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know! I'm going to say "no" to that masturbate-a-thon on the basis that it sounds pretty gross and it scares me a little bit to think that people are going to collect pledges to finance a sex shop but... It might just be me. But if there's anything else you guys can think of, let me know! ^.^
