A Call For Clarification From the Hipster Weather Guy

Has anyone else noticed the new weather guy on Channel 4? He's a bona fide meterologist and all, so props to KOB on that. But what drives me insane is the three different ways he pronounces his name (there may be a fourth...my kids and I are still debating).
The Hipster, as my kids have (perhaps disrespectfully) taken to calling him, is named Michael Kelting and he pronounces his last name in these three key ways: Kelting (regular), Kyelting (slight slowdown in the middle) and Kel-TING (distinct emphasis on the last syllable). Lately I've thought I caught yet a fourth way, but I can't really quantify it here.
Sooo...I'm just wondering. Hipster Weather Guy? If you're a DC Fixer (and you should be, my friend), could you kindly clear this up?
Is this a self marketing tool to keep people listening closely to every word you say? If so, kudos. You've achieved your goal, at least in my household.
Although we aren't really listening to the weather...we're just waiting for you to say your name.
If not, and there is some other reason, please explain yourself, sir. I'm not complaining or anything, just curious.
Please reply! My kids and I will be watching...and waiting.

Ooooh, I find that guy incredibly grating. His slick hair, his smarmy smiles both remind me of an unscrupulous car salesman.

I like him. Very non-conformist.

All you need is Mark Ronchetti.

I always thought Steve Stucker was great. Loved seeing which dog(s) would be on set with him. And Mark Ronchetti is pretty entertaining when he's talking about snow.

Personally, I think all of the local weather peeps are good. There aren't a lot of variables to really work with here. You've got sunshine. And more sunshine. And maybe some wind. And sunshine. And an occasional rain or snow storm. And more sunshine.

Howard Morgan had those cute little cloud drawings and I think some kind of plant things sometimes-
I really didn't mind Steve Stucker.

Anybody remember Ray Rayner. He had a duck that he would bring out.

I do not miss Ty nor his Western-cut suits. And I don't get the impression Tom Joles likes the brash interloper much. He jokes at his expense sometimes.
