What's going on, Albuquerque?
On Indian School Road.
Thanks Rudolpho for this info. Building is part of the original Indian School which closed in maybe 1982.
3 Question – What did you do on Sundays?
I did some interviews on basketball for the UNM Center for Regional Studies a few years ago, dealing with high school basketball. Here is what 1957 Albuquerque Indian School graduate Emil Jojola, the Allbuquerque Journal's "Albuquerque Athlete of the Year" in '57, had to say about church and Sundays:
Question: What did you do on Sundays?
Emil Jojola – On Sunday mornings, we had to go to church. There were services on campus or we could walk to a church off campus. Every Sunday evening we had religious assemblies. They were mostly non-denominational.
That must be the place! hope they refurbish it- it's a nice building. With plenty of parking too!
I soooo want to buy it up to open a strip club...
A non-denominational strip club of course!
They use to have outdoor services there. In the past, it would come alive for a while and then disappear..
