What's going on, Albuquerque?
Decked out in candy cane colors, Buffett's on Lomas near Louisiana has been producing treats since the 1950s.
I love their pinon candy! George Buffett, the founder of the biz is an interesting character. Ubiquitous in the State Legislator for twenty-odd years, he published a fun to read newsletter which my boss subscribed to and made it "mandatory reading" for the staff called Buffett's Bullets. Hi Ron, I'm continuously amazed at the connections and associations my pics bring up. Here I thought it was a simple candy shop but of course there's history, politics, and general ABQ quirkisms. Thanks for revealing yet another layer. D
Also, just FYI, Buffet's pinon brittle is a favorite of many. Try it.
I will, thanks!
The news just reported that George Buffett passed away today...
