Wow - going carless is a huge commitment! I've almost decided to get a little motor scooter to at least reduce my dependence on the car and fossil fuels, but I'm not sure I'd ever have the guts to give it away completely, and I am quite frankly a bit worried about getting out of Rio Rancho and into Albuquerque on a scooter for my daily commute. I can't think of a very safe way. But anyway, kudos to you!

I use my scooter all around town but I haven't given up my Tacoma pickup because its useful for hauling things, for longer drives, and in bad/cold weather.  Aside from that, a scooter is great for pretty much everything else.  Besides, they are cool and sexy (in a nerdy sort of way)!
