What's going on, Albuquerque?
Nicknamed, 'Chevy on a Stick,' this is one of many public artworks in ABQ. Created in 1991 by artist Barbara Grygutis. On Gibson & San Mateo.
When this artwork was first revealed it received a lot of derision and there was controversy. I, personally, love it. I always have and over time I have come to love it more. Love the picture, Thanks Dee.
Thanks Grumpy. Yes, I read up on the controversy, which is understandable. But art takes chances.. I like the piece a lot. How huge it is compared to that little green light! D
