Coming Soon: The Importance of Being Earnest at Albuquerque Little Theater

Greetings Doll fans! Our upcoming show since is fast approaching. I am proud to announce

"The Dolls Present - The Importance of Being Earnest"!

It has long been a dream of mine to do Oscar Wilde's masterpiece "The Importance of Being Earnest" but since it is my favorite play, I have always been a little intimidated by it. And then there are the Victorian costumes! But my fears were groundless. The cast couldn't be better and the costumes are simply stunning.

I like to think that Oscar Wilde is smiling down on us. We have remained very true to Wilde's incredible play but we have taken a few "Dolls' liberties". In a sense, it became a play within a play but at the heart of this production, it is Oscar Wilde's genius that prevails. In fact, we even have Oscar Wilde as a character in his own play. This is our way of saying "thank you" for writing what is undoubtedly one of the funniest plays ever written.

I can also not think of a better place to be performing this great play than the most historic theatre in Duke City - Albuquerque Little Theatre!

Show dates are September 3, 4, 5 at 8PM and September 6 matinee at 2PM. Tickets are $15. You can call 242-4750 for reservations. Thursday night we will be doing a talk back with the audience and at Friday night's performance, we will be having a little reception in the upstairs cantina where you can meet the cast!

The play is directed by Jaime Pardo. Albuquerque Little Theatre is on 224 San Pasquale Ave SW.

Marvel at the publicity shot above, taken by Russell Maynor who is also playing the lead in our show!

See you there, dahlings! It is sure to be a fun-filled night with lots of laughs and a wardrobe that will knock your knickers off!!!
