Coming Soon: The Importance of Being Earnest at Albuquerque Little Theater

Greetings Doll fans! Our upcoming show since is fast approaching. I am proud to announce

"The Dolls Present - The Importance of Being Earnest"!

It has long been a dream of mine to do Oscar Wilde's masterpiece "The Importance of Being Earnest" but since it is my favorite play, I have always been a little intimidated by it. And then there are the Victorian costumes! But my fears were groundless. The cast couldn't be better and the costumes are simply stunning.

I like to think that Oscar Wilde is smiling down on us. We have remained very true to Wilde's incredible play but we have taken a few "Dolls' liberties". In a sense, it became a play within a play but at the heart of this production, it is Oscar Wilde's genius that prevails. In fact, we even have Oscar Wilde as a character in his own play. This is our way of saying "thank you" for writing what is undoubtedly one of the funniest plays ever written.

I can also not think of a better place to be performing this great play than the most historic theatre in Duke City - Albuquerque Little Theatre!

Show dates are September 3, 4, 5 at 8PM and September 6 matinee at 2PM. Tickets are $15. You can call 242-4750 for reservations. Thursday night we will be doing a talk back with the audience and at Friday night's performance, we will be having a little reception in the upstairs cantina where you can meet the cast!

The play is directed by Jaime Pardo. Albuquerque Little Theatre is on 224 San Pasquale Ave SW.
