Former Albuquerque resident, Jim Morrison, comes alive again on this recently released double cd...

Doors:Live at the Matrix 1967

This double cd set is perhaps even better than original studio albums...In fact, let's just be plain out and out superlative on this one...Heck this is THE BEST DOORS E-V-E-R...Recorded Live at San Francisco's Matrix way back in 1967, this is what the Doors were all about. And this recording has the umpf without the crowd noises or long ramblings of the often plastered Master Poet, James Douglas Morrison.
FYI: Here's a scathing yet very interesting review by a guy who hates it...Great Doors' historical info however.

Jeff Hartzer visits Jim

Pere Lachaise Cemetary

This song came along after 1967 but these lyrics speak to me on this eve of Thanksgiving Weekend 2008...Albuquerque's barometric pressure is falling as a Turkey Day storm is headed our way...Gusty Winds May Exist.

Riders on the storm

Riders on the storm
Into this house were born
Into this world were thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out on loan
Riders on the storm
Theres a killer on the road
His brain is squirmin like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride
Sweet memory will die
Killer on the road, yeah

Girl ya gotta love your man
Girl ya gotta love your man
Take him by the hand
Make him understand
The world on you depends
Our life will never end
Gotta love your man, yeah
Wow!

Riders on the storm
Riders on the storm
Into this house were born
Into this world were thrown
Like a dog without a bone
An actor out alone
Riders on the storm

Happy Road tripping...Arrive Alive.
