What did you do to celebrate Earth Day? The kids at Escuela del Sol had a parade! Check out the way cool giant puppets! And let me give props to their fabulous art teacher vashti, a member of Duke City Fix!

I watched some kids (and by kids, I mean, young adults) hold up traffic for a less than 5 minutes at Cornell and Central -- both ways. They screaming to the drivers to turn off their cars. At one point, it looked like on motorist tried to push one of the protesters out of the way with his vechicle.
The police arrived and the group scattered. I didn't see any arrests and was thankful not to be a witness to any beatings.
The school's celebration looked more fun and less tense.
