Many of you may remember the Arts Alliance and its signature event the Bravos Awards. For 25 years, the Bravos recognized noteworthy achievement in several arts and arts related categories - theater, dance, visual arts, etc. The Bravos were among Albuquerque’s most exciting and anticipated annual events, too. After two years of organizational self-reflection, the Arts Alliance became Creative Albuquerque in January of this year. The annual Bravos awards went on hiatus so Creative Albuquerque could regroup, rethink and reimagine itself and the event.
Now, Creative Albuquerque has relaunched the annual Bravos Award with a new structure for 2011. Nominations for the rebooted
Creative Bravos Awards are open and being accepted until December 15, 2010. The awards, in addition to continuing to honor the arts, will honor the accomplishments made by the broader creative community, some of which does not fall into the previous arts-specific categories. Creative Bravos will recognize innovation, impact and entrepreneurism in the creative economy. Mark your calendar for the event on April 30, 2011 at the Albuquerque Museum.
Nominations may be made for or by a creative individual, organization, business or event. Nominees must be residents of the Greater Albuquerque Metropolitan area. Complete eligibility requirements and nomination forms are available at
