We were in the mood for a great sandwich and right away
Jason's Deli came to mind. We usually go to the
Jason's Deli on Alameda because that is the one that is closest to us but there are three locations across town and I am sure that you will find one near you.
I usually get their Famous Salad Bar which has lots of great tasting choices like fresh-cut vegetables, select organics, potato and pasta salads, gingerbread muffins, garlic toast, much more! You get a huge plate and you can fill it up as many times as you like. My husband got the the New York Yankee sandwich which is hot corned beef & pastrami, swiss and mustard or mayo, on rye which he enjoyed to the very last bite. He has tried a different sandwich just about every time we go there and one of his favorites is their tuna melt. They also make some really great soup like their chicken pot pie soup which is so very tasty. You can check out their
menu here, I am sure that you will find something that you will like. Another perk is the free frozen yogurt and chocolate sauce which just ends the meal on a very sweet note. The very yummy gingerbread muffins that I mentioned before are one of my favorite items at Jason's Deli and make for a great meal ender as well.
Their dining areas are spacious and even if you have more than four of five people you can almost always find tables to push together. Their prices are very reasonable as well. You can watch them make your sandwich almost subway style but with more flare. I would love for you to try it and tell me what you think or if you have tried it, I would love to hear what you think of it too. I really love their selection because there is such a wide selection and no matter what kind of sandwich mood I am in I know I will either find it there or find something even better!
