I have been on a bit of a break from writing on the Fix, but not from reading it. It's not that I have suddenly become shy, but rather that I have taken a try at blogging out in the big ole cyberworld, trying to help the turistas as well as my web site traffic by blogging about things to do in Albuquerque. It has paid off in many ways.
First of all, it seems I really like writing about Albuquerque. I am proud to be a Burqueña and I love living in New Mexico.
Secondly, I have had very positive feedback from my guests. They are actually reading it and taking my suggestions!
Third - I am learning the value of having a blog to help promote a website.
And...
I one an
award from
Tripbase.com for my travel blog, and I didn't even know I was a contender! I never heard of Tripbase before, but I am certainly a fan now.
I am grateful to DCF because it was here that I gained the confidence to write for the general public, and it is also this venue that gave me the inspiration to do it. Personally, I don't think my blog is anything special, but at least a few people thought it interesting enough to put it on the winner list, and for that I am grateful too. And damn lucky.
