So, I haven't been gone for long, but holy crap, I am so excited to be coming back to Albuquerque for ten days. (Yes, yes, I moved. Personal reasons, blah blah blah. I've spent the last 12 years trying to live in Abq and periodically getting booted out of the city for one reason or another.)

But whatever, hell yeah, I can't wait to see the Rio Grande, eat some kick ass food, visit with friends, (go to my best girlfriend's engagement party!) and walk around downtown, Nob Hill, the University area. I'm going to hang out in Zimmerman, drink a crapload of coffee at Satelllite and the Daily Grind, eat constantly at the Frontier and basically OD on chile, love and fun.

And, in anticipation of that trip, I just checked out the DCF calendar and there are two freaking amazing events going on in the North Valley while I'm in town. First off, Rha Goddess is going to be performing two nights in a row at the North Fourth Art Center (Nov. 21 and 22). I saw her speak at Bioneers a few years ago and was completely blown away by her grace and beauty. And then on Nov. 25 Joy Harjo is going to be speaking at Bookworks.

I'm a little wound up right now--I just drank some hot chocolate--but holy crap, I'm so excited to be coming home for ten days!

UPDATE: Wait, what? I can't eat at the Frontier, after all?
