It's time, New Mexico. It's time to pass judgment on eight long years of George Bush and Dick Cheney. In this Congressional race, voters have a clear choice between one of George Bush's biggest cheerleaders and someone who stands with Barack Obama and Tom Udall for real change.
Darren White is a George Bush Republican through and through. He served as George Bush's campaign chair in 2004 and went so far as to praise George Bush for his handling of the economy. To repay Darren for his loyalty, George Bush came to Albuquerque to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Darren's campaign and honored Darren by giving him a ceremonial position at the 2004 Republican Convention. It's no wonder that fellow Republican David Iglesias says that Darren puts the Republican Party before the Constitution.
Once Darren realized that there's a Democratic wave forming here in New Mexico, he tried to change his tune. But we all know the truth: Darren's always been a proud, lifelong, right-wing Republican. This is a man who has the name of a Republican President tattooed on his ankle, served on a "truth squad" for George Bush and supported requiring American citizens to take a "loyalty oath" before seeing President Bush. It's clear that a vote for Darren White amounts to little more than a vote of confidence in the leadership of George Bush and Dick Cheney.
I'm proud to be endorsed by and to stand with Barack Obama and Tom Udall. I'll work with them to change the tone in Washington and bring about substantive policy changes.
Our economy is in crisis and we need a change in direction. We need to build an economy that puts middle class families first by giving those families a tax cut that they deserve. But that's not all. We need a renewed investment in America. Our infrastructure needs improvement and we must put America on the path to energy independence with an Apollo style project that will fund next generation clean energy innovation that will create good jobs right here in New Mexico.
Our country faces many other challenges. We're still stuck in a war that has cost us half a trillion dollars and thousands of precious lives. We're still addicted to foreign oil and we're not doing anything to move America toward energy independence. And, 46 million Americans are still without affordable, high quality health care.
There's a clear choice for Congress. Darren White is a long time supporter of George Bush who stands proudly with John McCain and Steve Pearce. Not only did Darren admit that he plans to do nothing in Congress, he will actually block Barack Obama and Tom Udall's pragmatic agenda for change. I'm a proud Democrat who is endorsed by and who will work with Tom Udall and Barack Obama to bring about the change we desperately need in this country.
There's just hours left to make a difference. Please, use the link below to find out where to vote. And, forward this note to your friends and family and make sure that they don't stop at the top of the ballot. Make sure that they vote to change Congress as well.
Polls are open tomorrow, Tuesday, November 4th from 7 am to 7 pm. Please, don't be discouraged if there's a line. This is an incredibly important election and New Mexico is an incredibly important state. So, please, vote to change the occupant of the White House and vote to change Congress.

Thanks so much for your time.
