"May you live in interesting times" is an English expression purported to be a translation of a traditional Chinese curse. While seemingly a blessing, the expression is always used ironically, with the clear implication that 'uninteresting times', of peace and tranquillity, are more life-enhancing than interesting ones, which from historical perspective usually include disorder and conflict.

Since May 9th when U.S. President Donald J. Trump fired F.B.I. Director James Comey, U.S. Rep. Steve Pearce has gone into hiding, but still Tweeting. He's usually pretty talkativeI've called Pearce's D.C. Office, 202-225-2365 every morning before work for the last eight days. They have no answers. Pearce did support Comey's firing. I've reached out to local reporters through emails and Twitter, and with the exception of the Journal's Michael Coleman, never hear back from any of them. I also called news desks of KOB4, KOAT7, and KRQE13 to see if they've heard from Pearce, but didn't see a story there. I would also pitch the Economic Policy Study showing New Mexico #1 in job losses under the American Health Care Act, but they didn't see much news value in that story either. I had a chance to chat with U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich and U.S. Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham last weekend in Old Town. They were both very familiar with the report and statistics. Lujan Grisham was pitching hard balls & sidewinders in her speech. This lady has the Verve!

Travel ban judges scrutinize Trump’s campaign statements

Muslim ban language suddenly disappears from Trump campaign website...

A memory hole is any mechanism for the alteration or disappearance of inconvenient or embarrassing documents, photographs, transcripts, or other records, such as from a website or other archive, particularly as part of an attempt to give the impression that something never happened.[1][2] The concept was first popularized by George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, where the Party's Ministry of Truth systematically re-created all potential historical documents, in effect, re-writing all of history to match the often-changing state propaganda. These changes were complete.

“If Trump did something wrong – fine,” Pearce said.

“But every day there is a new allegation and you get these unauthorized leaks of top-secret information and very sensitive information. The information that he maybe shared or didn’t share – it’s still unclear and I haven’t seen the evidence on that. But nobody would know that it’s top-secret if the agents themselves hadn’t told, so they’re doing very deep harm and nobody is questioning that at all.”

"We’re going to keep finding stuff until we find something that will get to the level we want it to." That's how investigations work, Mr. Pearce.

Unfortunately for Trump, the more they investigate, the more they find, and the worse he appears.
