"On Monday, just south of the Pit, a shovel will break some dirt and Albuquerque’s next tennis venture will begin."

Oh the brilliant writing.  Wonderful news for the tennis team!  Great to hear about a sport outside of football getting funding and better facilities.

Krista:  that is a beautiful example of passive writing, no?

There is something about the NRA having and "enforcement division" that just gives me the creeps.  I certainly hope the shooting competition isn't based on how many humans APD "bags."  But with the NRA, you never know, do you?

Is this the day for typos?  I meant "an, " not "and."  I am also sure that Adelita meant the "Morning Fix," not the "Moring Fix."

All the passiveness aside, the line, "...a shovel will break some dirt.." just made me laugh.  1. Who writes like that (as a professional)?  and 2. pretty sure no shovels will be involved.

OBTS - at 6am when I was doing the Morning Fix it didn't look like a typo!  Thanks and I got it changed!

Watch out for rogue shovels -they might break dirt at any moment!
