What do you get when you buy a new washing machine? A dead dryer, that's what. Yes, I went to switch loads earlier and thought, "huh, I thought I started the dryer." Turned it on again and came back later to cold, wet clothes. Bummer. Anyone out there know anyone good at fixing things that are large and run on electrical power? I need help!
Wow. I want a job with the city....
A couple of items in this article stood out to me. First, I don't care if they blur the facial features, I have some other features that warrant blurring. Second, if the scanner emits 10,000 times less radiation than the average cell phone, I am throwing mine out.
Another candidate for New Mexico's Mother of the Year...wow, it seemes like the competition is smokin' hot this year.
I doubt he could make it to the top of the ticket (though in the Republican party, who knows??) but is it in bad taste to speculate about a Palin/Johnson ticket? Yeah, that doesn't feel right.
A manure problem in New Mexico? Shit happens.

My handyman is a computer guy, so he is of no help for this sort of thing. I am quite bummed about the dryer, with a family of 6 any interruption in the flow of laundry is a bad thing.

In the meantime, there's a good laundramat near you on the S. side of Gibson E. of San Pedro. The building used to be a Sirloin Stockade. You can take the wet clothes there. Don't take coins; they use a card you replenish in a vending machine, like a calling card or library copy card. Ask the attendant for help.

What an interesting re-use of space that was, right? We watched the shell of the stockade sit for years. One day they began to renovate, we saw the chimneys (we were kids mind you) and intstantly thought that we would be treated to teppan style dining... nope.

The drier sounds like a Brendan (sp?) problem... where is he?

Laundr-o-mats are loads of fun with four kids in tow. I didn't know that the old Sirloin Stockade was one! When desperate for outside laundry I have always gone to the old one at Kathryn and San Pedro, the dry cleaner there is really good, and I used to use that laundry more than 20 years ago when I lived with my parents on Valencia.

Couple a questions on the dryer. Is the dryer doing anything at all? What are the symptoms? Yes I know the clothes are still wet. Is there a smell (burning rubber, electrical)? Does the drum turn OR is is fixed already?

Joe the dryer makes a noise not unlike the motor running but it doesn't turn. Maybe there is a slight rubbery smell. It was hard to tell because we had some smoke going on from other issues (burned dinner and oven cleaning).
