What's going on, Albuquerque?
RLAD: I believe Michele said in her statement that right now the debt limit is the pressing problem and that the vote needs to get heard in the house.
And...unfortunately it IS the Tea Party and hard right Republicans who are to blame for this mess. They refuse, absolutely refuse to introduce and vote on a clean CR unless their demands are met. That's not negotiating in good faith, that's terrorism. Plain and simple. I don't know what Heinrich's game is (protecting re-election, I guess), but he's being stupid if he doesn't call a spade a spade.
The Lockheed furlough was nationally, not locally. And it looks like, since the government workers are going to get paid, there won't be any significant amount.
OBTS speaks the truth, btw.... Can't wait for the Supremes to remove all campaign contribution limits, though.... (this session, coming up soon.. you can bet the house on the 5-4 outcome)
Last time I checked, there were two major parties in Washington. Seems like there is plenty of blame to go around and not all of it on the Conservatives. Democrats don't exactly come out smelling like roses when they refuse to open up parts of the Government and insist it is all or nothing. Really amounts to a game of chicken between Obama and Boehner to see who blinks first. Just know that the stance both those men are taking poses plenty of risk to all. So please, spare the "it's all the Republicans fault" rant. You are better than that.
