Comment by shotsie on March 12, 2013 at 10:34am: Great use for the Luna Lodge - we should be preserving the rest of these motels in the same fashion - before thinking about tearing them down, work with the city to change them into inexpensive housing for things like homeless teen moms (so they can get proper support and learn how to take care of their babies), homeless teens in general ( and there are a lot of them, btw...), maybe homeless vets and halfway housing for release programs. There's excellent public transportation for them to get around. Dress the motels up with neon to match the Rt 66 theme. Make them look good, without taking away from their character.

Congrats to the Lobos - thanks to the basketball gods for Steve Alford being here, and also to Bryce Alford for coming here (and keeping really big name schools from snapping Dad up...)
