Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa didnt' make the list? Shocking!

Bern's made it in 2007 and 2006. Looks like they don't have many holdovers year over year, only Peter Luger and SW Steakhouse (@ the Wynn) are perennials....

Other than the Commander's Palace in New Orleans, Bern's was the most extravagant, amazing, wonderful meal I've ever had. Glad I wasn't paying for it, though! That place will break the bank.

UNM.. there are a lot worse things in the world than a university and students whose world doesn't not revolve around football..
Comment by Hermes_505 on November 19, 2008 at 11:02am
Lest we not forget that the student population at UNM has a disproportionate number of "non-traditional" students compared to many regional U's. And we are an economically challenged State as well. Just a couple of a myriad of reasons why UNM football faces some attendance challenges out the gate. Certainly would help for better marketing, too. Although given the upcoming funding cuts, and executive pay, I doubt that will happen...

And regarding the UNM VP pay, yowzahs. Couldn't they move to a more performance based compensation model? Perhaps a comparison to State is not fair, but they have more VPs and better compensation than a lot of regional schools, and a lot of regional big business.

Not surprised that Astana won't be coming back for training. Albuquerque just isn't groovy enough for Lance.

It's always classy to blame the fans.

"As Rocky Long said, a miracle worker may be needed once again get fans excited about Lobo football." Well it appears that Rocky wasn't that man. And maybe the way he exited holds more truth about the reason why. Is this joker leaving the state? Let's hope so.

I'm sorry...but is it just me? Or do you get tired of people coming in and out of retirement. Brett Favre was enough for me this year. Now Lance is trying to make a come back? I really feel sorry for these people and I think of Barry Sanders and others. Remember him? Had enough on the ball to retire on his terms and have a life afterward. So many people are one dimensional in their thinking and image of themselves. Or am I missing the boat? Is old Lance living above his means and having to come back to cover expenses? Geesh!

Blaming the fans for not supporting your team is a little bit like blaming the audience for not loving your movies, no?
