Comment by Hunter on December 19, 2012 at 9:23am Masshole, are you looking for a job at the Journal? I realize past pronouncements have identified the 12th & I-40 project as "Uptown-like lifestyle mall" but the actual linked article says "Shopping Center". Ever since "Q" opened there have been several local planned projects that have tried to sell themselves as Q clones. The Albuquerque reality is that this town can only support one of these and then just barely. When Williams-Sonoma opened the Q store it closed the one at Cottonwood. And even Q was reduced to filling vacant space with a mattress store. The real question is what Winrock is going to be able to deliver. There is a certain limited upscale market in the near north valley but I'm guessing Sprouts, not Whole Foods.
Comment by Big Stamen on December 19, 2012 at 4:15pm I'm not sure what article you read. The link from above states "ABQ Uptown-like retail center in 2013"
