I recall hearing or reading, within the last 5 years or so, that some commission decided that it wasn't worth big $$$ to build some facility to add a few drops of fluoride to the water as there was enough naturally in the water already. I guess some folks changed their minds? Maybe the city could save money by just offering fluoride-free water and those who want fluoride can add it to their glasses of water and also use fluoridated toothpaste. Or is expecting people to take self responsibility thinking too simplistically?

As I understand it, there's natural fluoride in our water, but not up to the recommended levels. This would bump up the concentration enough to get us there.
