• Wal-Mart to appeal Environmental Planning Commission's rejection of West Side store site, as the decision heads inevitably toward City Council.

• Run Wiley, run! Hunters to fan out across NM later this month in unregulated coyote hunting contest where the winner takes home an automatic rifle. Thousands protest on social media. Methinks this isn't the last we've heard on this story.
