Albuquerque is getting some positive press as a travel destination, from USA Today and a new-ish travel website. Anyone else never heard the phrase "ye olde barrio" before?

New Mexico's junior senator is getting some positive press as well. Multiple mentions of his (relative) youth and poverty.

A local group wants to see the Capitol take the lead in cutting energy costs through solar technology. Spoiler alert: Guv says no.

If you been following the story of Mariposa residents as they wrestle with their PID obligations, the plot thickens.

Care to guess which items are most often stolen from our public libraries?

A retiring local music teacher gets a heartwarming send-off from generations of students (and a very, very long write-up).

Never heard of "ye olde barrio" before, but I sure am going to use it.

Also, my guess is toilet paper is the most often stolen item from our public libraries.

GED reference materials? Considering our abysmal graduation rate, I'm honestly shocked by this.

Has anyone looked at Mariposa's location on a map? It's closer to Santa Ana's old pueblo than it is to Highway 528, let alone Rio Rancho proper. The residents are certainly getting screwed now, but my sympathy is tempered by how outrageously far away they are from anything resembling infrastructure.
