Morning Fix: Happy Birthday Albuquerque!

  • A little transparency on the Kirtland AFB jet fuel leak would be nice. How about it, Gobernadora?
  • Thirty dollars worth of missing copper wire slows down Railrunner.
  • Sandia Labs and LANL won't shut down, but Petroglyph National Monument probably will unless those pendejo politicos do something pronto.
  • CVF Solar Test Lab has a machine that fires ice balls at solar panels. Cool.
  • APD Officer's Facebook gaffe makes the New York Times. In other APD-related news, former APD Officer Levi Chavez is indicted in his wife's death.
  • Graduation attire controversy at Cibola High. Have these folks never scrutinized a line-up of faculty in regalia? Trust me - no one matches.
  • Albuquerque is 305 years old! Celebrate at the Founder's Day Fiesta this Saturday.

We (SLAC) just got the word that we'll continue operating for the time being but that could change quickly.

And if you go to the birthday party at Old Town, be sure to catch the Buffalo Soldiers, Arnold Herrera (Cochiti drum-maker) and Steve Cormier's Songs of the Ranch and Open Range -- brought to you by the New Mexico Humanities Council. (Shameless promotion alert)

Definitely gonna be in Old Town for the celebration. Might even dance. Wife has to work, so if you see a 6'3 bald headed dude in steel toes dancing the moonwalk by himselff... well, it might be me...

BB, great job with the Fix, as always.

@Misterhinkydink - care to demystify the SLAC acronym? Where I work it means Small Liberal Arts College. :)
