What's going on, Albuquerque?
Hurrah for Claudia Mathes! A most deserving theater volunteer.
So in the absurd freak accident, did the driver not bother pulling off the freeway onto the shoulder before getting out of his vehicle? Or was the other driver driving on the shoulder?
What's the deal with Hard Rock Casino? I was sure I'd read that Isleta was ending its relationship with Hard Rock and going back to the Isleta Casino brand, but that was months ago and it's still out there. Anyone know what's up?
Re: the freak accident. Presumably there was other debris from the same "load" the bicycle came from, meaning that other cars may have been swerving about to avoid it. Regardless, it always makes me wince when I see people outside their cars even on the shoulder of the freeway. I've heard too many similar stories about people getting hit while dealing with a flat or dropped luggage or whatever. The freeway is no crazier than other roads, but the speeds....
The only thing I know about the Hard Rock Casino is that their sign is an eyesore.
Krista: it seems from the story that the man actually stopped on the freeway. Although why anyone would do that is quite beyond me.
P.S.: So many things about the Dick Dale clip to love.
I long ago reached the conclusion that driving and intelligence usually have nothing to do with each other
