Morning Fix: Nyah Nyah - Bet We're Still the Biggest City in New Mexico - Neener, Neener

  • Discover the population of Albuquerque and much more when the U.S. Census Bureau releases New Mexico's statistics around noon tomorrow. New census information is the best even if we're aren't going to hit one million.
  • National Atomic Museum National Museum of Nuclear Science & History attendance jumps as quake-related incidents at Japan's nuclear power plants continue.
  • Unusual questions help law enforcement gauge anxiety during a traffic stop."So, how many pet chinchillas do you own?" "Green chile or pineapple on your pizza?
  • Want to run with übermegamarathon runner Dean Karnazes in Albuquerque this Thursday? Sign up now. All proceeds go to Action for Health Kids.
  • If running with Dean doesn't sound like a way to spend your St. Patrick's Day, there's tons of other less healthy stuff to do.

You know what behavior the cops are going to elicit from me by asking me absurd questions when they stop me?  Irritated and annoyed behavior.

FYI - it's been the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History for about 2 years now, having given up the name "Atomic Museum" when they moved in April 2009.

I only correct because I worked there, and moving a nuclear museum is something you never forget :)

I think I'll spend my evening coming up with a list of absurd questions that APD officers can use.  Number one:  "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?"

African or European?

Mesopotamians? Did I miss something?  I know it is Hypatia Day, but she hailed from Alexandria.

Would that be an African or an European swallow?
