    •    Sandoval County Sheriff says calls for rebellion in Rio Rancho over gun right restrictions premature.

    •    Police confiscate 1500 guns from man's home in NE Albuquerque--including anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons.

    •    Architect baffled as to why tiles are falling off the $30M remodeled Pit.  Maybe it's the NOISE!

    •    "Lying sack of shit" and "ignorant fool" exchange words as former city councilor's private email regarding controversial neighborhood gas station becomes public.  How email came to light is unknown.

    •    Albuquerque was #1 city in movie production in 2010.  Then #2…then #3…now #8.

    •    NM Supreme Court says web site is not a whore house.

    •    Thieves stealing the pipes right out of the toilets.  Hmmm…better look before you leak.

To be fair, the anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons were for World War II planes and tanks.  So they are probably totally useless now.  Heh.

And I think Mr. Carrasco, the voice in the wilderness about the gas station, is being a bit hyperbolic here.  Hate crime?  I wasn't aware that Lying Sacks of Shit and Ignorant Fools are protected classes of people in this state.  I also think the White House couldn't care less about a meanly-worded e-mail between a city councilor and his friend which somehow became public.

What bothers me the most about the 1500 firearms is the cost involved. At $200 apiece, that comes to $300,000.  That doesn't sound like a hobbyist to me.  That sounds like something more serious, like either an off-the-books dealer or someone who is contemplating a need fora military arsenal.
