Morning Fix - Poll Shows Heinrich Losing to Nobody You Know

Can you even name the Republican candidate in CD1? I didn't think so. But a poll shows Democratic Congressman Heinrich losing to John Barela 51% to 45%. Whatever that means, it can't be good for Martin Heinrich.

We sure are running out of home lots... I mean, Mesa Del Sol only has room for 38,000 homes. How can we possibly use up the water in the American West if we can only increase our Metro Area population by 200,000 or so people in the next 40 years? C'mon people, the End Times don't "just happen"...

I love that KOB will provide a poll done by telephone as realistic. How many people even have a home telephone at this point? From the website of the company that did the poll:

"There are other possible sources of error in all surveys that may be more serious than sampling error. These include: the difficulty of interviewing respondents who do not have a home telephone; the refusal by some with home telephones to be interviewed; the order in which questions are asked; the wording of questions; the way and extent to which data are weighted; and the manner in which specialized populations, such as likely voters, are determined. It is difficult to quantify the errors that may result from these and other factors."

Well, duh.

Whatever that means

I'm thinking that the majority of folks want to get rid of the out of control democrats... kinda of like they got rid of the out of control republicans. That's how should be, no? But we'll see at election time. A lot can happen between now and then.

Although I did hear somewhere that Heinrich did an internal poll that had him up by about 10 percent or something. heh.

Heinrich is out of control? Probably not.

So THAT'S who ran that poll. It was the longest poll I have ever had to take part in--I felt sorry for the poor woman asking the questions which were WAY too long.

Problem with those polls? They ask pat questions for which the answers need an explanation. Example: Do you think the US government is on the right track, on the wrong track, or don't know? I answered wrong track, but not for the reasons that most media outlets are going to assume. I personally think we need to be an actual socialist country--so I think we're going on the wrong "right" track. However, I couldn't explain that to the pollster.

Oh, and I had no clue who this John Barela was, either.

Well, I want to know when I get to vote for my favorite corporation to run the country. That's who REALLY runs the country, after all. I like the idea of congressional candidates being forced to wear "sponsor kits." So we know whose interests they truly support.

I love the idea of nepotism surveys - how can we institute these nationally?
