What's going on, Albuquerque?

Poor dude with the winery plan just didn't realize how tenacious the NIMBY types are in his neighborhood. Guess he didn't live here during the Montano bridge planning days? I also hope that the Candy Lady is able to pay her rent this time...
(Sorry - this was supposed to go in yesterday.)
Wine whine - stupid neighbors - its a winery and art gallery business on 4 acres - about as benign a use as possible for this property. Maybe he should sell the property to a fast food place....
BMX Wall - $578K to build a 250 foot, 16' high wall on the backside of an ill-placed BMX complex - I had pressed our council person to keep the tennis center there and move the BMX to where the tennis center is now (Louisiana and I-40), so the tennis players wouldn't have to compete with the street and highway noise. BMX would've been much better there - no giant, expensive wall to build. Note to complex: it probably would be cheaper to replace the (ugly, ugly) roof with shade cloth and enclose the north side of the track than to build out the entire wall. Noise needs to escape, and the roof holds it in.
Candy Lady - yay! Lobos - BIG YAY! (great dominating win!)
