  • Max Reno has got to be the most amazing 10 year old in the world!
  • UNM to cut the number of full-ride merit scholarships next year. Message to parents? Focus on sports with your kiddos.
  • President Schmidly returns to UNM (with a story this time!)
  • Our city is home to the "fastest wiener in the west" in the Wienerschnitzel Dachshund race
  • On the Fix a bit ago there was some debate over APS administrators taking official cars home, now the Council is debating letting APD take squadcars home

lulz.

Re: Pit, I don't know who's more to blame.  The architects, for failing to plan for the basic life-safety issues that every architect should know, the permitting agency for letting that slip through the cracks, the University for taking forever to address the problem, or for the fire marshals to allow the building to remain operational.

Or the alternative message to parents is to focus on how to train your kiddos to be university vice-presidents or administrators.  Apparently that's where UNM wants to spend its money.

Ben took the photo and I'm pretty sure it's another bird of sorts.  He has a great photo of mama with a lizard in her mouth.  :)

I'm pretty sure the banner image is from when the roadies found some crow roadkill down the street.

I've got a couple from when they caught the lizard.  This is a little out of focus, but I like the sense of speed.
