• The university will save $550,000 with Locksley's new contract.  Glad to see UNM tightening it's belt.  Hahahahahahaha!  Just made myself laugh out loud!
  • I like how this article not only talks about the prairie dog problem at the Sunport, but what they think of the name of our airport - "the insipid name concocted to make that city’s airport more unique and alluring, or something."
  • Albuquerque/Bernalillo County healthiest part of the state.  Southeastern NM, not so much.
  • Anyone who has ever been to Del Norte High School knows that this complex will be a huge improvement.
  • I perceive this perception poll to have quite a point of view.

re DNHS: "The new high school will hold 1,400 students..."

Are there less than 1,400 students enrolled now? My graduating class at DNHS was over 700, with a total enrollment of around 3,000.

I may have to check the numbers from the perception poll, but I think most Burqueños would be happy sending Locksley packing to the Sunport.  We could put him on the next flight out with all the problematic prairie dogs.  Maybe send him to southeastern NM to try and get people to exercise more.

What I like about the Locksley story is the elimination of the buyout.  In other words, the value of Locksley to the University has now been written down to $0.00, zero, nada.

I wonder if we can woo Mike Shepard back. At 9-50 overall, he was a downright comparative UNM success story...

On football: Da Bomb remembers well. On Prairie Dogs: A bubonic plague carrying nuisance over all of New Mexico and most of the west. Even a prairie dog would not want to die in a hole of bubonic plaque, given its choice.

There will always be people struggling to feed their kids, and everyone will always need someone/something to cheer for.  Especially is bad times.  If you can find a couch who can inspire a team and a city, he'd be well worth the money.

Yes.  I meant coach.  If I could find a couch to inspire me to that level, I'd never leave the house. I'm tired.  Been struggling to feed the kids all day...

locksley has his exit strategy already laid out. one has to wonder about the BB coach too. but he would leave for more $$$, more prestige with a univ with a bigger profile than UNM. i'm sure he doesn't want to coach for the "Wal-mart of flagship universities."
