What's going on, Albuquerque?
I went through the same process as your daughter in September, 1957. There were two problems. Long lines to register, which is no longer a problem due to computers, and parking, which remains a nightmare and an expense.
Congratulations to Adelita and "Adelita Jr."
Good luck to 'lil 'Lita. I hope she truly enjoys her experiences at University Near Mom.
I like the plan to turn the El Vado into a New Mexico food market. It would be something both tourist and locals could find useful.
My understanding of the earlier start to the school year is that it's necessary because APS is required to have a certain number of testing and professional development days in addition to instructional days. The only way to do that is to start school earlier. I wonder about the increased utility costs of trying to cool all the district's schools for the last few weeks of August.....
