    •    Kirtland AFB will use big unit to suck up fuel spill plume.

    •    Channel 7 tries to blame minimum wage hike for financial problems at Joy Junction.  Later mentions donation nosedive this year.

    •    HP, in big trouble nationally, sends 200 Rio Rancho jobs to Georgia.  Already laid off 100 last July.

    •    Maloney's Tavern buys its way out of suit by disabled woman with a service dog who was refused table inside.

    •    Tiny endangered bird, the southwest willow flycatcher, gets bigger neighborhood and lots of attention as bosque fire hazard.

The news last night said Maloney's was slapped with a "huge" fine. Really? $2500 is a huge fine for a freakin' bar? The fine should have been the tens of thousands for the dis-service they did to a handicapped person.

It sounds like the settlement was between the government and the bar.  Someone give the woman Sam Bregman's phone number.

Yep, the settlement with with the USDOJ.  But I agree, $2500 is not really a huge fine.  I think the bartender and other employees should be required to use wheelchairs instead of their legs for a month.  See how much they enjoy life as a handicapped person.

You know, Joy Junction's Jeremy Raynalds might have better funding if he weren't so blatantly against the sinful "homosexual lifestyle" whatever in the hell that is.  I've chosen to support other organizations.
