What's going on, Albuquerque?
I remember a few years ago some Park(ing) Day participants set up some sod and lawn chairs in a spot in front of my office downtown. A bunch of us brought out lunches outside and had a lovely time. It's a really fun little act of "guerrilla urbanism."
Thanks for the link to the AbqRide driver problems. I'd comment there but would have to join some social media to do so, and I don't want to do that. Here's my comment: apparently drivers just don't get raises. More than one has told me he/she has been there many years and was still making the same pay as when she/he started, the same pay as new drivers. Raises just don't seem to happen. I vote for all public transit system improvement-related bonds, and they pass, but the money never seems to get to the drivers, who deserve it the most.
