The whole Val thing really gets me going. Who cares what he said, he has the right to say it. He did nothing illegal in giving his interview. Seems to me like they are the illegal ones for refusing him a permit until he apologizes. What a bunch of babies! They are making our state look stupid.

I agree. First of all,how does what you say, effect the legality of a zoning permit? Second of all, I didn't see anything in Val's comments that said anything about Chicano's (or any other specific race - other than a general statement on living in New Mexico) and am unclear why the Committee on Chicano Rights has anything to say about it. And third of all, CCR is Credence Clearwater Revival, not any committee.

There's a bathroom on the right. (There's a bad moon on the rise).

Wow, way to go Bingaman. I think that's the first time I've heard a US Senator say that we needed to protect our border from things going out, rather than just people coming in.

I realize now that my caption is bad for the Bingaman story (I blame the blue death), but I thought the same thing! Maybe stopping the flow of items that help cause the violence will also help curb violence overall.

So....Susanna Martinez has an ad in Spanish...yet she panders to the anti-illegal immigrant crowd. Can you say playing both sides of the fence?

I just wish both candidates would stop with the Swift-Boating. It adds absolutely nothing to the discourse. I am wondering if they are starting this low, how bad is it going to be, say, the last week of October?

Oh, man, I can hear the news headlines now:
This just in: Local blogger finds evidence that Susanna Martinez is bisexual! Story at 11.

See, OBTS? This is how rumors get started!

Iceman? Wasn't that Val Kilmer's nickname in Top Gun? Are you trying to say that Susanna Martinez is having an affair with Val Kilmer?!?! Maybe he's just seducing her to get closer to that governorship himself, so he can trample over any zoning ordinances he damn well chooses.

Ohhhh, the plot's getting thicker..,
