Morning Fix--Christmas Eve Edition

My kids are sooooo excited. Panting with anticipation. What will Santa bring the Compton kids this year? We have a code process in our house, we talk about the upcoming Wii-kend, for example. It is going to be a really good Christmas I think.

Actually I am not knocking tats, I have kidded Charles for years that one day I am going to get Cookie Monster on my left hip. If I lose weight, he can be Grover. It's a little gift for the staff who gets to sponge bathe me in the nursing home.

We're making lasagna, too! We start in this morning with rolling out the pasta. It's going to require all hands on deck.

Oh I don't go so far as to roll my own pasta. I spend so much time on the sauce, I really should, but I haven't gotten that brave yet.

I have thought about the chef idea. Actually my daughter Maddie, who is 8, has said for the past four years that she wants to be the first chef President of the United States.
