I am pleased to report that Special Olympics New Mexico met its financial goal for this first-ever dramatic and appealing rappelling fundraiser.

Over the Edge grossed $63,775 -- quite wonderful for a first-time event in an uncertain economy - that SONM had only three months to prepare for. The net was $35,000 -- just where they wanted to be.

I myself raised just under $2,500 from more than 80 contributors.

Would I do it again?

Certainly I'm proud that I conquered my fears enough to do it. However: The rappel was very physically demanding; unless I go into training pretty soon, I'm not sure I'd be able to :-)
