I am just kinda in shock. Craigslist keeps flagging our job listing, and now ABQ Journal has rejected the brief classified ad we submitted. I am looking into it, but I continue to be shocked at the level of censorship we seem to find.
Craigslist has flagged and removed our ad at least a dozen times in less than a week. Yes, we are following all posting guidelines.
ABQ Journal just rejected a paid classified ad that barely alludes to what our Self Serve offers. Of course all of it is legal and wonderful.
I have talked to more than a dozen people this week alone who are losing their jobs, getting pay cuts and looking for work. Now our tiny, fun business is hiring for a retail position at a store that is zoned as non-adult, and even the job listing itself is being censored and removed from the most popular classified sites in Albuquerque.
I just continue to be surprised and dismayed by it.
But take note! It happens maybe once a year... Self Serve Sexuality Resource Center

Here's the listing

UPDATE: As of Wednesday afternoon, the Journal has agreed to a much more vague, censored ad that's thankfully NOT in the escort ad section! Lucky us :)
