Serendipity

I've been walking in a smiley daze for days
Almost afraid if I move too fast
I'll stumble and wake up
and the dream will end.

It's been a while since I've had a valentine
it's been forever since I've asked
would you be mine
afraid to move too fast
so the dream won't end.

Maybe a sign
that's what I need
pointing - that way or this
I've been still for too long

I step outside,
slowly, not moving too fast
and in the purple sky,
floating, unsure

a big red balloon
too fast for me to snap a shot
but not so fast for my hand to jot
so I resort to schoolboy rhyme
slowly, so the dream won't end

I left a message on DCF to a certain sweet member and asked if he would like to join me. Seems that invitation turned into something wonderful! We've been together ever since!

When I finally got it through my fat head that I needed a friend not "some enchanted evening", things got a LOT better for me. I know it's hard to believe now but friendship & common interests go a loooong way once the hots are over. (after 13 years I am still hot for my friend but you know what I mean) Aries Sweet, you got da bomb writing poetry! Keep having fun!
