"We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to live the one that is waiting for us." --- Joseph Campbell
This poetic writing of Mythologist Joseph Campbell says it all about what it takes to be truly alive moment by moment. For many, letting go of the past and the attachment to things we have planned is a daily spiritual practice. Holding on to the past is the avoidance of being present, and the hindrance of the unfolding future.... What do you call your life when you are not being present to it? Cece calls S H I T, and Yun says dead, you say....???
The Two Whos' conversation about letting go is on going, but getting less philosophical, and more realistic: such as letting go of the trash, or letting go of the anger or letting go of the control (upcoming posts).... Here Joseph Campbell is talking about stepping off the "track" you were /are on, and stepping onto the new track that leads to a new field....
About The Mid-Week Symphony: Since Wednesday is hump day, we have decided to take this moment and bronze it and have a bit of down time from the writing. We thought each Wednesday we would like to bring you a symphony of ideas, a harmony of thoughts, beauty, silliness and all things that make the fullness of life. When we started this blog we wanted it to reflect our entire personalities and interests..and that means yes…. Cece loves the Far Side Cows and Yun loves the mumble jumble philosophical books. Yun and Cece have many interests and we would like to share some of them with you each Wednesday.
