What's going on, Albuquerque?

Visiting in May 2009

We'll be spending 1 week in the Duke City beginning on Memorial Day (2009) and while we'll be checking out neighborhoods for our relocation there are a few other things we're hoping might happen...
*we're hoping to meet some local folks from here that we have some things in common with
*we want to spend some time biking and hiking outside of the city
*we'd like to enjoy a hot spring without worrying about bathing suits!
*we want to take some good "natural" (nude) photos outside the city

Well considering your lifestyle, I hope you wear lots of sunscreen. You have beautiful skin, and I'd hate for you to find out the hard way that NM is second only to, I think, New Zealand in incidents of skin cancer. Be careful, and please tell me what sunscreen you use so I can buy stock in the company. I got skin cancer and now I don't go out without it. Scary! I hope your move goes smoothly.

Comment by cathyray on January 26, 2009 at 9:21am: yeah, welcome. There is a hot spring around Jemez that has been a naked hippie hole since forever. The rest of the hot springs that I know about require suits. And, please listen to Sarah, the altitude here is a killer for folks not used to it, especially light skinned redheads like you. You'll find lots of places to take your photos if you just drive any direction from town. We have tons of places to hike & bike & enjoy our land. Hope you have fun here in May.
ps. my son is a redhead & I really have a special place in my heart for them.
