What a pleasant surprise to hop onto DCF and see that my favorite local salon, and good friends, have joined the community. If you don't know of Loft 47 Salon, then please do me a favor and check them out ASAP. They're down-to-earth, friendly, with an amazing eye for color and edgy cuts and styles.

The salon opened a few years ago in their current location at 4605 Menaul NE. Owners, Grey & Amanda Gibson, had a vision of developing the type of hair studio they always wanted to work at. They put in a lot of effort to develop the salon's vibe to coincide with their personal sense of style - edgy yet approachable.

The salon now features four artists including Grey, Amanda, Karyl Valdez, and Michelle Ulibarri. Speaking of artists, my funky paintings are there too! (shameless self promotion)

I'd highly recommend contacting them if you're tired of Mark Pardo or Aveda prices, but still want a high-end style and friendly service. Plus, they're located in a mini shopping center with Ruby Shoesday, a children's boutique, Curves, and Jennifer James 101 restaurant - what more could you want?
