Chocolate, Art & Dogs - Where to go for great food, handmade chocolates, inspirational art and...dogs? Q Chocolate Cafe in Albuquerque's historic Old Town! Q Chocolate Cafe is having an art exhibit reception and FUNdraiser to benefit Lap Dog Rescue of New Mexico from 5-7 pm and will be there with a few very adorable adoptable dogs. Twenty percent of sales through the Month of May by featured artist Victoria Mlady will go to benefit LDRNM!
Create a Mobile: Nature and Art - Bring out your creative side by making a mobile inspired by Alexander Calder. We will be incorporating shells, beads, and thin-sliced polished stones provided by the Gem and Mineral Lapidary Studio at the Museum.
Adult Night: A night with the Animals - The May Adult Night theme is ‘A Night with the Animals’. Explore theme inspired activities, and the Explora exhibits. Enjoy live music and light refreshments. For ages 18+.

29th Annual Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival and Celtic Games - The Rio Grande Celtic Festival brings alive the heritage, sounds, competition, flavors and colors of the Celtic tradition and tugs at the rich history beating in the heart of Albuquerque. This is the event to find historical Celtic roots, share traditions with children, and learn about the Celtic events that make up this rich culture. From Spain, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and all Celtic nations are celebrated right in the heart of New Mexico.
Albuquerque Turkish Festival - Albuquerque Turkish Festival will feature exquisite samples of Turkish- Mediterranean Cuisine (Doner Gyro Kebab, Baklava, Turkish Coffee and more), cultural exhibits, folk dances, live music, children's area, arts & crafts and more! It is a Family Fun. FREE ADMISSION.
NM Science Fiesta- Tiguex Park in Albuquerque's Old Town will be abuzz with fun family activities for all ages that celebrate the amazing world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math at the NM Science Fiesta. Over 40 local science, tech, educational, and cultural organizations will offer ways to explore the science of virtual reality, forensics, nature, robots, neuroscience, math, maker science, and much more! This is also the official kickoff event for 2017 Summer Launch to Learn Program, an initiative of Mission: Graduate and the City of Albuquerque.

33rd Annual Museum Car Show - Albuquerque Museum and the New Mexico Council of Car Clubs host the 33rd Annual NMCCC Classic Auto Show. This year’s theme is “50th Anniversary of the Albuquerque Museum featuring 1967 vehicles.” Hundreds of antique, classic, exotic and sports cars, along with trucks, motorcycles and vintage camper trailers will be on display in the Museum parking lot. Automobile art and model vehicles will be exhibited in the Special Events room inside the Museum.
3rd Annual South American Folk Fair - Returning once again to showcase fine South American culture thru this year's theme "Sudamérica Gastronómica". We will feature local South American chefs to awaken your palate with delectable menu options from, Argentina, Bolivia, Perú & Colombia. There will be traditional arts and crafts vendors and the traditional folkloric dance performances that have become so popular at our festival. This year's dance party portion of the festival will be headlined by international salsa singer Frankie Vázquez, backed by an amazing line up of local musicians.
30th Annual New Mexico Music Awards - Scheduled performances from Andy & Kew Mason, DiSanti Nava, The Kipsies, The Ron Crowder Band, Ms. Tracey Whitney and the Will Bannister Band. We will also honor someone with the Eric Larson Lifetime Achievement Award. Attendees will enjoy a sumptuous dinner followed by performances of some of New Mexico's best artists and we will recognize those artists, producers and engineers who have excelled over the past year. The event is open to the public. Come enjoy the music, a nice dinner, meet some new people and maybe find your new favorite band. -
