I'm glad you remember me. I guess I never really had the chance to thank you for leading me in the right direction during those few years in high school. I graduated from UNM about 5 years ago with my bachelors degree in Spanish and Portuguese and I currently work at UNM with a GED program for migrant/seasonal farm workers as an academic advisor/recruiter. I will starting my MBA in international business marketing in the Fall of 2010. It would be nice to see you and be able to thank you. Please let me know if this would be possible. Hi Judy-
I went down there and talked to the manager. She said that despite the sign there is no audio recording. There are two video cameras. One is pointed at the cash register. The other at the door.

While I was there she took down the part of the sign that said audio surveillance. Anyway, the set-up seems pretty much the same as other businesses. But thanks for the tip. When I approached her about the cameras she seemed to know that there was some controversy regarding their presence.

Hope this answers your concerns. You (and their sign) certainly raised some significant questions.
