Sure do! In fact, I can't figure out how to change my page name to Poofy... didn't realize that when I signed up. Der. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to these fancy social networking sites....
What an awesome set with you and the divas at Steve's big party last week. It's always a treat to hear you play and an honor to hang out with you. Many thanks, Jeff
Adelita, it was down in Barelas! (Yes, Bekkah is a sweetheart, and we seem to have some inexplicable geographic karma.) There is something every Sunday eve at the Filling Station . . . next blues jam should be the 4th Sunday in August. I'll let you know if I go!
Richard, I'm such a dork. Went to go see you play on Sunday, but for some weird reason I had it in my head you were playing at the old gas station on Mountain Rd. -the one that's a coffee joint. There was a really sweet girl in the house behind the coffee place who was outside and she said you were her boss! Small world.
Really wanted to hear you guys. Been needing a good dose of live blues. Plus, now that my daughter is learning to play guitar, I like to take her to listen to live music when I can. Next time!
Hey Richard. Thanks again for playing on Friday. You guys rocked. Give me a call soon if you haven't already picked up your stuff. You've got my business card.
here's the schedule thus far:
5:00 - doors open, Aaron Lewis to play until approx. 6pm
6:00 - burning moonlight to play until approx. 7:30
7:30 - Lousy Robot to play until ...
I'm being flexible with the music schedule because I'm still learning Verb as a venue, and I never know what challenges might show up when playing in a gallery space.
In addition to the music, we're also being sponsored with beer from Marble Brewery, and some of the DCF foodies are bringing tasty treats for people to munch on. We're setting up the art thursday, and friday afternoon will be the set up of the food and such. I'm sure you'll be able to come in early on friday and set up your equipment, but I will verify how early that might be.
Looking forward to friday night! We're looking at good press, and in turn, a great turnout! The other bands performing that night will be Lousy Robot, and Aaron Lewis. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you before friday!
Hey Richard, I'm always happy to run into you, be it in person or in cyberspace. I'm so jealous that you get to go to Pheonix and partake of the Gltter & Doom. All the best, j.d.
Hi Richard,
I am one of the musicians for the 16th. I figured I would contact you directly about gear. I am a solo guitarist so I don't need much. I have a really small PA I use but I would hate to take 3 PAs if we could get away with one. Thanks.
Aaron
we're down the home stretch for the DCF art show on 5/16! we'd still love for Burning Moonlight to play! I met with the committee this week and we'd love for you guys to play from 6-7:30 during our opening gala at Verb on the 16th. Let me know if this works for you! and thanks again!!
Thanks for all the suggestions for finding music here!!! Can't wait to try it out. By the way, I sort of think I've heard the Memphis P tails before a long time ago...do you know if they've ever played in San Diego in a little bar in PB? Are they sort of blues-rock?
Yikes, schmikes the whole thing got cancelled. I am not going and so am here in the district ; where there is no state involved; except perhaps a state of mind, sometimes a state of confusion, happiest in a state of grace.
