Thanks for your blog about the backwardness of UNM when it comes to education and funding. :) On another note, many profs at UNM have little slips of paper that say, "I make ___ days of the football coach's salary to educate the students at UNM." Generally in the 20's or below...
Thanks Johnny. I'm always pleasantly surprised when I go 'home' and vist the Roswell Museum and Art Center. Being from there, I've always been a Peter Hurd fan and it's nice to see more art in Roswell outside of the alien murals!
Hi Johnny, Thank you for visiting the two whos posting. We are told not to post on DCfix anymore, so we would like to drop you a note to let you know, if you like our posting, please visit our blog at www.thetwowhos.com in future. Thank you!
Hey John. Great to hear from you! I am glad you contacted me. I just changed jobs and am staying a lot more local to town after 4 years of pretty constant travel. I am a member a local computer user group that will meet on DukeCityFix so I figured I would join, but did not expect to immediately find a few blasts from my past. Good times! I still have many fond memories of "Roach City" and Monte Vista...
I looked over you blog from your cycling trip. That looked awesome.
Wow, Jon. It was so good to see you with Doris. Your house looks wonderful. It looks like you. Take care. I hope to see you soon. Hopefully, I will have a good year. One never quite knows at Mental Vista given its cast of characters. Carri is working as an events organizer for Richard Romero. Love, Holly
Today (Sunday) I went by and the sign, which is a yellow triangle that states they are doing audio and video surveillance, is still there. I am not a blogger and not ready to delve in but I hope the word gets out. I think it is shocking.
Jon, I need to alert you to what's going on at Il Vicino. It has always been one of our favorites, especially because of the ambiance. BUT, have you see the sticker in the front window that says that video and AUDIO surveillance is taking place in there? Can you imagine?! People having private conversations are being recorded and their personal interactions stored digitally in some file.
There are a lot of people who are saying they will no longer patronize the restaurant.
Please publicize this and help us tell them that until they remove these surveillance instruments, we will not eat there or even get take-out from them.
Thanks for being a member of Teaching in Albq., Johnny M. I am taking the time to go and visit each member's page in that group and it is fun to do.
Thanks as well for your great reporting on our one-of-a-kind DCF!
