R.I.P. Bo Diddley

Our good friend and rock and roll legend Bo Diddley passed away today. I found the following on Wikipedia,

He spent many years in New Mexico, not only as a musician, but as a law officer. He lived in Los Lunas from 1971 to 1978 while continuing his musical career. Bo Diddley served for two and a half years as Deputy Sheriff in the Valencia County Citizens' Patrol; during that time he personally purchased and donated three highway patrol pursuit cars.

Comment by Dr Dan on June 2, 2008 at 6:03pm: I first saw Bo Diddley when he put on a surprise concert at the 1st Africian american day at the state fair must have been 1987 (he bumped Up with people). To see a legend up close ding a free concert is a thrill I will never forget. I tried to catch every show he put on after that and he never disapointed. He always wore his shield on his hat. he will be missed.

of course, now i have "heeey Bo Didd-ley" stuck in my head & have been singin it to my dogs all morning!! ;)
