Winners of Poetry on the Bus

Big love to all the winners of this year's Poetry on the Bus program! I just returned minutes ago from the opening reception to share some snapshots with you.

The downtown venue was packed and the scene was groovin'. Apparently poetry events are a prime place to meet people too as I connected with a foxy engineer from Intel who was there to support Jordan (shown above).

Kudos to all involved. Thanks to transit director, Greg Payne, for turning up the heat. Del, Art, Bobby, you did a stellar job parsing the nearly 500 poems submitted and transforming it all into a classy event that I, for one, hope becomes an Albuquerque tradition.

Pardon the bad photography and instead help me toast the Duke City's talented wordsmiths! Congrats to all the winners including someone you may know...
